Stronger is Ulises’ fourth film project. He played “Joe” in Reflective Life Ministries’ First Love, and after joining Actors, Models and Talent for Christ, has focused mostly on faith based films. This includes a supporting lead role in the short film On Borrowed Time and a featured extra role in the full feature Amerigeddon, both in post-production and soon to be released.
His other passion is hospitality, and he has been in the restaurant business for 29 years. While at the University of Houston, he dabbled in live theater in several productions including That Championship Season where he played “Coach” and won a Best Actor Award. He auditioned for a spot to obtain his MFA at SUNY, Purchase, and was accepted, but decided to pursue the restaurant business instead. Today he owns two eateries in the North Houston area. He lives in The Woodlands, Texas, blessed with his wife of 23 years, Maria, and his four children.
Ulises’ prayer is that his performances will honor God, first and foremost, and will also impact people’s lives, offering grace, restoring hope, and bringing them closer to Him. In portraying Vic, he hopes the story will remind all those struggling with PTSD that one can indeed accomplish all things through Christ, and that HE is the real source of strength in every circumstance.
