Chad and Kathy spent another great weekend at their home away from home with Ps David and Jo Ann Baird and the great folks at The Life Church in Washington DC.  After a busy weekend, being in Houston for the 7th Annual Texas Gala on Friday night, Chad, Kathy, Jeremy and Susanne flew from Texas to DC to speak at two of the four campuses on Sunday.  Chad spoke at the Manassas campus and Jeremy brought a great message to the Winchester campus.
Chad challenged the entire congregation to have a “TRANSFORMED PURPOSE!”  Using the life of Peter and the fact that Jesus thought so highly of him, even after his failures, to use him as the cornerstone of His church, Chad convicted us all to move forward with a eternal purpose in mind.  No matter what we’ve been through, as long as we have breath in our lungs, God is not through with us yet!

We also had an esteemed guest, as The 16th Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps,  Carlton Kent and his family joined us as well.  It was a great way to kick off a busy week of travel for Chad and the Mighty Oaks team, as Chad speaks at Liberty University’s Convocation on Wednesday and then heads to Broken Arrow, OK to speak on Veteran’s Day!
